The blog is back!
My photoblog - which I took offline at the beginning 2006 - is now back thanks to Wordpress! For those following - my previous blog was spammed to do death by a cornicopia of porn, get rich quick, search engine optimisation and hotelier ads. I chose wordpress because supposedly it has some great spam blocking features. We shall see! Feel free to leave your comments now!

Im a kiwi true at heart but have been away for a while,, I enjoy showing others where I come from and just how beautiful our country is!! And you do an awesome job at portraying this!!

Hi Mark,
I just stumbled onto your pics. Nice to know I have a twin on another continent! I haven’t had a chance to peruse all of your work but have concluded initially that we have similar views on the good, bad, beautiful and ugly. I love capturing it all without holding it prisoner.

I like your photographs — they are real, not sanatized postcards. I took photographs like yours when I went to Italy a couple years ago — beautiful statutes with graffiti on them, Venice canals clogged with gondolas full of Japanese tourists with cameras, etc. ~Janis

I came across your site, which was linked with another photographer’s site under her ‘favorites’ - and I found that site through The Photo Forum (great place to explore if you have time). I have really enjoyed looking at your pix. Love the way you celebrate New Zealand for what it really is (extraordinary) vs the picture perfect images found in tourism mags! (nothing wrong with those of course, just different views I guess.)
